This has become a game changer before bed, and you do not need an ice cream machine to make this simple recipe. It is high in protein and in particular casein which is a slow releasing protein. So it works wonders to whilst you are sleeping. You can honestly start with the cottage cheese, maple and vanilla as your base and then add flavors from there. This is just my favorite flavor.. you can not  beat peanut butter and chocolate

Ingredients

(Serves 2)

1 cup low-fat cottage cheese (2%)

1.5 tbsp natural peanut butter

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp maple syrup or date syrup

Pinch of salt

 

 

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or blender and blitz until smooth.
  2. Transfer to an airtight container, and add in any additional mix ins (optional)
  3. Freeze for 4 hours. Be sure to let it sit outside the freezer for 5 minutes before scooping
