I love waking up in the morning excited to wrap my hands around a nourishing bowl of warm Oatmeal. In my opinion the difference between a good Oatmeal and a #NextLevel bowl of tasty awesomeness is the toppings…. Thats why I have created 3 Healthy Oatmeal Toppings Recipes options for you. Oats are one of the best ways you can start your day. Nourishing and full of fiber they do wonders to moving that metabolism and ensuring your body has energy for the day ahead
Ingredients: (Serves 3 Bowls)
3 Cups Oats
2 1/2 Cups Water
1 Cup Almond milk
Apple Pie
1/3 Cup Apple Puree
1/2 Apple sliced
Pinch of Cinnamon
1 tsp Chia Seeds
1 Tbsp Almond Butter
Banana Bread Choc Chip
1 Banana, Half smashed, the other sliced
2 tsp Maple Syrup
1 Tbsp Cacao Nibs
Stick Toffy Pudding
1/4 Dates, Chopped
1/4 Cup Desiccated Coconuts
1/2 Cup Almonds, Chopped
1 Tbsp Honey
Method:
- Add Oats and water to a pot on medium heat. Constantly stir for 4-6 minutes or until water is absorbed. Pour in the Almond milk and stir until creamy. Serve with your favorite toppings.
- For the Apple Pie top with puree, apple slices, cinnamon, chia seeds and Almond butter
- For the Banana Bread Chop Chip mash half the banana into your bowl, top with maple syrup, cacao nibs and remaining slices of banana
- For the Stick Toffy Pudding Mix in the dates, sprinkle with coconut, almonds and drizzle with honey
