Legends! Bring your packaged ramen to the next level with this tasty ramen stir-fried you can make in under 10 minutes! Yes, you heard right! For this recipe, you can use the packaged ramen you have in your pantry and its seasoning. We add a few gut-friendly ingredients to create a tasty meal that will satisfy you.

What is a stir-fry?

Stir-frying is a Chinese cooking technique that could be compared to sautéing in the West. A small amount of oil is drizzled over high heat in a wok, or in this recipe, a pan and stirred. You can stir-fry meats, tofu, vegetables, or noodles. Stir your ingredients consistently into the oil while cooking to cook them evenly.

Is sesame oil good for you?

Sesame oil is made from pressed raw sesame see s. Sesame seeds are rich in antioxidants that fight free radicals that can cause inflammation. Moreover, sesame seeds contain 82% unsaturated fatty acids such as omega 6. Omega-6 fatty acids are crucial to ensure a healthy immune system. It can reduce heart disease and promote the production of good cholesterol. My tip? Use a good quality sesame oil for your Asian-inspired dish. Ingredients

Stir Fry

  • 1 package of ramen + seasoning
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tbsp ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup kimchi, thinly sliced

Toppings

  • ¼ cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 scallion
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Method

  1. Cook the ramen according to the packaging without adding the seasoning. Once cooked, discard the water.
  2. In a pan on medium-high, drizzle the sesame oil. Add the garlic cloves and grated ginger.  Add in the cooked ramen, kimchi and seasoning. Stir well for 3 minutes.
  3. Top with fresh cucumber, scallion, and sesame seeds.
