Everyday Banana Green Smoothie

If you’re looking for a go-to, everyday smoothie that will provide you with lots of energy while also being quick to make, this is the one, team! This one incorporates greens, banana, protein and nut butter for a delicious and simple blend. Let’s make it!

The biggest take away I want you to get from this that it’s a one step meal (just whizz up in a blender and pour!). My best tip for smoothies is to always add your liquid base first. In this case the plant based milk is added first so that it helps catch all the rest of the ingredients. Tag me in your smoothie creations on @dan_churchill!

The nutrient takeaways for this one? Spinach is high in micronutrients like zinc & iron. Zinc helps boost the immune system, while iron helps carry oxygen throughout the body. Zinc also contains flavonoids which help prevent bad cholesterol from oxidizing. They are a great antioxidant and help protect your body from creating cancer-causing free radicals. Spinach can help assist with weight loss too, and turmeric is highly anti-inflammatory, helping to prevent disease and boost immunity. From a performance level, it’s great to add some extra protein to your smoothies so they can keep you feeling full and help repair those muscles post workout!
